1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Mbule.Tech ("we", "us"), the operator of the website at delimit.mbule.online and the tools on it (together, "Delimit"). By using Delimit you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.

If you are using Delimit for work, you accept these terms on behalf of your employer or client, and you confirm you are authorised to do so.

2. What Delimit is

Delimit is a collection of free browser-based text utilities. There is no account, no subscription, no sign-up and no payment. The tools run as JavaScript on your own device; we do not receive, process or store the content you put into them.

Because there is no account, there is nothing to terminate or suspend. You can stop using Delimit at any time by closing the tab.

3. Your content

Whatever you paste, type, drop or upload into a tool remains entirely yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence over it. We could not use it even if we wanted to, because it never leaves your browser — see the privacy policy for the detail.

You are responsible for having the right to process the content you put into the tools. If your employer's rules, a contract or a law restricts what you may do with a dataset, those restrictions are yours to observe. We have no visibility of your content and cannot police this for you.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Delimit for anything unlawful, or to process content you have no right to process;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting, or any connected system;
• interfere with the site's operation — including denial-of-service attempts, or automated request volumes that degrade it for other people;
• remove, obscure or alter any notice of ownership on the site;
• present Delimit as your own product, or resell access to it.

Ordinary, reasonable use — including heavy daily use for your job — is exactly what this is for and is explicitly welcome.

5. Check the output before you rely on it

This deserves its own section because it is the realistic risk.

Delimit reshapes text. Its output is frequently pasted into things that then act on it: a SQL IN clause, a bulk update, a filter in a ticketing system, a configuration file. A transformation that is subtly wrong for your data — an unexpected delimiter inside a value, a truncated identifier, a duplicate removed that you needed — can produce a query or a change with real consequences.

You are responsible for checking the output before you use it. The counters and warnings exist to help you do that, but they are aids, not guarantees. Never run generated output against a production system without reviewing it first.

6. No warranty

Delimit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties and conditions, including those of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that Delimit will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its output will be correct or suitable for your purpose. It is a free utility, not a certified data-processing product.

7. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, limit or discontinue Delimit or any tool on it at any time, without notice and without liability. We may change how a tool behaves. Since there is no account and no payment, you lose nothing you have paid for, but do not build a critical process on the assumption that a specific tool will exist forever. Settings and saved setups live in your own browser and are not backed up by us.

8. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

• we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated savings, data or data corruption, however arising, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, even if the loss was foreseeable;
• we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, output produced by a tool, including any action taken on a system as a result of that output;
• our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with Delimit is limited to fifty United States dollars (USD 50).

That cap reflects reality: Delimit is supplied free of charge, we receive nothing from you, and we have no ability to inspect or control the data you process or the systems you paste output into.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of Delimit, or your infringement of the rights of a third party. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own breach or negligence, and it does not apply where you are using Delimit as a consumer for personal purposes.

10. Intellectual property

The Delimit name, the site design, its text, code and structure are owned by Mbule.Tech and protected by copyright and other rights. You may use the site as intended and link to it freely. You may not copy the site wholesale, reproduce it as a competing product, or use our name or branding in a way that suggests endorsement.

Third-party components are used under their own licences, including the typefaces Archivo and JetBrains Mono, which are licensed under the SIL Open Font License.

11. Third-party links

Some pages link to other websites. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, their availability or their privacy practices.

12. Privacy

How we handle data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. The courts of Zambia have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there where the law requires it.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use Delimit after a change means you accept the updated terms. Substantive changes will be noted on this page rather than made silently.

15. General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the unenforceable provision is limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between us about Delimit. You may not transfer your rights under them; we may transfer ours if the site changes hands, provided your rights are not reduced.
